[Elsa has no idea whatsoever about why Moa's asking, but it doesn't mean she has to leave her apartment...just look into a mirror. And she's getting a little better about that. It's only a mirror.
When the video feed comes on, there's a girl so pale she's almost luminous, every tiny detail about her perfectly neat and controlled. Elsa might be standing in her bathroom, but she's doing it with regal poise and style.]
[When she blushes, it's a pale tint of pink across her cheeks. But before she has a chance to respond to any of it - the words, the sigh - Moa keeps talking, and Elsa can't help but laugh. It's a small laugh, obviously born of surprise.]
You can't possibly imagine...
[...how much trouble she has - and it shows in her voice, in the way she looks away at even the thought of finding people.]
[Normally Moa would laugh along with her, or insist that her compliments are the truth, but she feels so wrapped up in misery right now. A part of her knows she's being too harsh on herself, logically, but she's been stewing in feelings of jealousy and inadequacy for hours now, and she can't get out.]
I had...a couple of...but I'm sure they have people they like more than me. Everyone here does. And I don't have anybody.
[They're awfully similar, in a way - except Elsa's come to accept her loneliness, wrapped herself in regal aloofness, and Moa...Moa is how Elsa was so many years ago, when she still believed things could be different.
But they're not the same. Moa's not cursed. For her, things can be different. And so Elsa strives for a comforting tone to her voice, tries a little smile.]
Maybe you just haven't found the right person yet. Or the right people.
[The good news is that she'll get better! The other good news is that you don't have to be alone, Elsa, don't worry Moa loves you ok. heheheheheh AHEM SORRY NOT LIKE THAT. SORT OF AT LEAST.]
....I'm not pretty like you are. [oh weh weh :|b ]
[Moa hesitates at that as well. That wasn't entirely why she asked the question, of course, but now she would feel weird for ignoring the mirror idea. After a minute or so, the video feed comes on. Oh man, Elsa, you can be pale buddies! :D Moa's color looks a little more sickly than luminous, though. She's not as well composed as the queen, either; she's always been awful at hiding her feelings. Which currently appear to be sadness and worry.]
[Well, she is; Elsa can look beyond the outer layers, the girl so full of misery, to the one she's sure is in there. And although Moa's not one of her people, Elsa feels suddenly responsible for her. She's come for help, after all, and what kind of queen would abandon one of her people when they need her?
[Big eyes look up a little hopefully. She didn't seem to hesitate in saying it...so...maybe that means it really is true? And then, when the next words come, the hope blooms into a tiny smile.]
Really? And I'm not bugging you? [That's what that means, right? Moa is a very sociable person, so feeling lonely has been torture, and the prospect of not being lonely is like a ray of sunshine in a thunderstorm. ] Where do you live? I bet your place is beautiful too...
[She's like Anna, with that smile and the big eyes and that hopeful face, and Elsa's always had trouble saying no to Anna. It hurts to do, even when she knows it's for the best, and right now she's not sure what's for the best, even if there is any best at all.]
Building...building two. The first apartment on the bottom.
Building two, first apartment. Okay, I'll come over! [Right now. We were talking about right now, right? Ok cool. She turns off the feed, but a couple of moments later the audio comes back. She sounds a little embarrassed.]
Thank you... [Yeah, she's aware this was a weird conversation. But it's cool cause they are gonna hang out. Right? :D ]
audio, 6/1
[The girl is almost whispering. Something seems to be wrong.]
Are you pretty?

[Wait, no, that's wrong, there was a question there.]
...what's wrong? Why are you asking?

[Another sigh. Much sad. Very sigh.]
Everyone must love you. I bet you don't have any problems...finding people...[the awkwardness in her voice makes it clear what she's talking about.]

[She's going even pinker. Complimenting people here is not like complimenting them at home. Here, people tend to - think things.]

But you've never even seen me. [Of course, she could just go to a mirror and solve that problem like Elsa has, but an idea occurs to her.]
...do you wanna hang out? [Aaand voice is back down into sadland again.] Am I bugging you?
no subject
There's the mirror. You could show me in the mirror?
[She doesn't know what to do with the rest of it, or how to answer. Moa's not bothering her - but the idea of leaving the house is, still.]

I'm sorry. I'm just lonely.

You can come here, if you like.
